Artist Copy Progress Post #1

I have finished working on about 1/3 of my project so far. Throughout this project I have been able to improve my skills at using lines as shading, just like how Degas does on the original drawing. I think this will be very useful when I start using this technique on my self portrait. One thing I have found is difficult to correctly proportion are the lines of shading around the outside of the figure. This is because I did not outline them when sizing up my drawing. I also keep getting mixed with with the lines in the original drawing and the lines I have on the drawing from sizing it up. Overall I think that this exercise is going well, and I will continue my artist copy until it is at least 1/2 finished before moving on.
