Career Exploration - Tattoo Artist

The career I am exploring is a tattoo artist. The responsibilities of a tattoo artist include designing tattoos, working with clients to find tattoos that the clients want, applying and using tattoo ink to create the tattoo, and cleaning their materials and workspace properly. To start tattooing, you need to get a tattoo license. It is also standard to have a 2-3 year apprenticeship with a knowledgeable tattoo artist in order to become a tattoo artist yourself. Any fine art degree is useful to becoming a tattoo artist because they need basic art skills to be able to draw tattoos. Some programs that teach tattooing specifically are Permanent Cosmetic Tattooing Class Program, Tattooing School Blended Online Program, and Tattooing School Classroom Program.
