Project Post for Project #4

So far my project is going well. I have completed the first wash of color, with green for the background and red for the tree. For this project I am working smaller, and I like am enjoying the less space I need to paint. Then I can work more on details instead of trying to add lots of detail across the entire painting. In the next class I am going to work on sharpening the tree so it looks more in focus than the background. I will also focus on contrasting the shadows on the tree with the highlights because my goal for this project is contrast. Overall, I would like to add something to my future projects to make them more interesting. However, I enjoyed this project more than the project before this one.
