Process Post for Project #7

My project has been going well so far. First I worked on the shell of the hermit crab. I did this by bringing the shell to class and painting it from life. Then I took a picture of my hermit crab in the position I wanted while at home. I then painted this crab using the technique of putting dots of color into an already wet section of my paper. After this I used pictures I had taken of trees over spring break to paint the trees on the shell of the hermit crab. I think the trees turned out very well, especially how the light is shown. The trees are my favorite part of the artwork. I think I was able to incorporate all of what I have learned over the year to make this art piece. I think if I were to do this art piece again I would use a more interesting shell. Overall I really enjoyed making this piece!
