Project #2 Process Post

So far I have painted most of my painting in class. I started my project with a plan to combine watercolor and printmaking, and I started with the watercolor portion. This went really well, and I was able to create depth in my painting and detail where necessary. After this, I decided to make my project only use watercolor and not have printing. This will keep the nice, soft feel of the watercolors. In the next few classes I am planning to make the trees look more realistic, and add more colors other than the brown and green of my painting. One of the challenges when making this painting is that it is difficulty to find a balance between detailed and not detailed. I struggle with knowing when to add more branches to my trees to show realism. I know the trees need small and smaller branches that the leaves grow from, but I do not want my tree to look like a spider. I also am uncertain if I need something additional in my painting to make it more interesting, as currently it is just a forest.
