Experience post - Oura Sananikone

Oura Sananikone is an artist who works across many mediums. Sananikone creates comics, murals, toys, animation and more. I thought it was very interesting that he keeps a fairly consistent style across all of these very different mediums. I especially liked his murals because I thought they gave a lot of character to the building he painted on. I also really enjoyed seeing the process behind these murals, as I had never learned about this process before. One thing I learned from the lecture was the importance of standing up for yourself when something is wrong. Although it can sometimes be really intimidating and scary, he emphasized that doing this is essential so people don't overlook you. One question I still have is how did he decide to do art as a career? Overall I really enjoyed both the art and the lecture.
